Nevada Cares Campus Emergency Shelter Volunteer Form

 

Thank you for your interest in volunteering at the Nevada Cares Campus. The Campus is a low barrier emergency shelter intended to provide men and couples experiencing homelessness with basic services including restrooms, handwashing facilities, showers, trash disposal and meals.

In an effort to support the Nevada Cares Campus, this volunteer pilot program will be sharing available volunteering opportunities below.

Current Volunteering Opportunities

  • Serving Coffee, M-F, 6:00 am – 9:00 am
  • Serving Lunch, M-F, 10:45 am – 1:00 pm
  • Serving Dinner, M-F, 3:45 pm – 6:00 pm
  • Bingo Wednesday Night, 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
  • Other

Please note all individual volunteers must be at least 18 years of age.

BACKGROUND CHECK DISCLOSURE

Washoe County may obtain a consumer report to be used for evaluating new or existing volunteers. A consumer report is a background check in which information (which may include, but is not limited to, criminal background, driving background, character, general reputation, personal characteristics, and mode of living) about you is gathered and communicated by a consumer reporting agency ("CRA") to Washoe County.
